'Full-back signings at Liverpool unlikely - but situation is fluid'

Latest from Your Site News' Vinny O'Connor on Liverpool potentially signing any full-backs before Tuesday's deadline:

"Its unlikely at the moment. What Im told in regards to further incomings ahead of that deadline is its quite a fluid situation.

"I understand the argument in regards to the full-backs, because Liverpool have effectively got two attacking full-backs but in terms of productivity on the offensive side of things, its way below what we got from the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson.

"Liverpool will say theyre well-stocked when it comes to cover in the full-back areas because theyve got [Kostas] Tsimikas back after his loan spell away last season, so is able to cover [Milos] Kerkez at left-back.

"At right-back, [Ronald] Araujo has come in and not only is he a centre-half, he can cover at right-back as well. Joe Gomez and Conor Bradley are coming back to fitness and Giovanni Leoni will cover once again at centre-half.

"They have options at the back and its not necessarily seen as a priority at the minute.

"As a caveat to that though, further incomings on top of [Bradley] Barcola is dependent on potential outgoings, not just in the defensive area, but look at the situation Cody Gakpo finds himself in.

"We know Liverpool have had discussions over him potentially moving to Man City, but that is very much dependent now on Barcola coming in and another potential target as well.

"We know of their interest in Ismaila Sarr at Crystal Palace, and [Yankuba] Minteh at Brighton as well."

Barcola's rise explained - but is he actually right for Liverpool?

Is Bradley Barcola a good signing for Liverpool with him on the brink of a Premier League move?

Having spoken to the Paris Saint-Germain forward's old academy boss, Adam Bate examines the strengths and weaknesses of the France international to find out more

'Barcola very close and should be announced today'

Latest from Your Site News' Vinny O'Connor:

"Its very close, were expecting an announcement today [Monday] that Bradley Barcola has completed that move from PSG.

"He underwent a medical on Sunday and he was spotted by some Liverpool fans coming out afterwards. It comes off the back of him effectively agreeing personal terms and a deal that will run until the summer of 2031.

"Thats after PSG and Liverpool finally came to an agreement in terms of the fee. We know earlier in the window, PSG were holding out for around 145m and we understand the fee will be Liverpool paying 106m up front, possibly rising to 123m."

'Spurs' Moore set to join Koln on loan'

Tottenham are set for a busy end to the summer transfer window with young attacker Mikey Moore one of several players set to depart, according to the Press Association.

Moore, 19, has finally been given permission to travel to Germany to complete a season-long loan move to Koln, which was agreed at the start of August.

Spurs difficulty in landing attacking targets meant Moore started the clubs first two games and he scored against Charlton, but will spend the rest of the campaign in the Bundesliga to continue his development.

Moores move is reportedly a straight loan with no option or obligation to make the move permanent.

Celtic in talks over signing Torino midfielder

Latest from Your Site News' Anthony Joseph and Sky in Italy's Luca Bendoni:

Celtic are in talks with Torino over a potential deal for central midfielder Gvidas Gineitis.

Its understood the Serie A club are now open to selling the Lithuania international before the transfer window closes.

Gineitis has been a prime target for the Scottish champions this summer, but a deal was looking unlikely after they crashed out of the Champions League last week.

However, its believed Torino may lower their previous asking price of 10m which has reignited Celtics interest.

The Serie A club are already working on potential replacements.

Celtic have been in the market for two central midfielders in the final week of the window with PSVs Joel van den Berg due to travel to the UK for a medical today ahead of his 3.4m move.

The latest offer fell some way short of Millwall's valuation of the player.

Brighton remain interested in trying to do a potential deal for Azeez.
